The original Rekord was a sport shoe for field sports. First introduced in the 1960s for field events like throwing the javelin, the mallet, or the discus, today the Rekord maintains its character by providing safe footing and absolute comfort. It was in the Rekord, that Manfred Losch established an actual record with a mallet throw of 64,36 meters, becoming a DDR legend. The cup outer sole consists of EVA foam rubber sole, combined with a vulcanized rubber sole. The characteristic reinforcement stripes guarantee a stable, springy sense while walking.
