From the Track to the Street

The Athletic Heritage Collection draws on historic ZEHA track and field and running shoe designs developed for movement, low weight and the specific demands of different athletic disciplines.

Characteristic elements of these sports shoes are incorporated into today's models and newly constructed for everyday wear.

Exceptionally lightweight leather uppers meet modern, cushioned sole constructions made from EVA foam and TPU.

The result is ZEHA's lightest collection: flexible, softly cushioned and easy-moving – with the distinctive design language of historic ZEHA sports shoes.

Klassiker

The “Klassiker” draws on the clean design language of historic ZEHA sports shoes and combines it with the lightweight construction of the Athletic Heritage Collection.

Its slim leather upper and modern cushioned sole made from EVA foam and TPU provide a light, flexible feel underfoot and a high level of everyday comfort.

Olympia

The “Olympia” draws on a historic ZEHA track and field shoe design from the 1960s – an era in which ZEHA developed exceptionally lightweight racing and competition shoes for elite athletes.

For today's version, this idea has been newly constructed for everyday wear: with a lightweight leather upper and a modern cushioned sole made from EVA foam and TPU.

Marathon

The “Marathon” carries forward the design language of historic ZEHA running shoes developed for long distances, low weight and a high degree of freedom of movement.

Today's construction translates this sports shoe concept into a durable leather shoe for everyday wear. A lightweight upper is combined with a flexible, cushioned sole made from EVA foam and TPU.

Bonaparte

The “Bonaparte” is an exception within the Athletic Heritage Collection: its origins lie not in running, but in a historic ZEHA boxing shoe.

Together with Tobias Jundt of Bonaparte, the model was further developed for the stage. He wore a prototype intensively on tour for an entire year. ZEHA continuously analysed the weak points revealed under these demanding conditions and refined the construction step by step.
