Die Achtzigerjahre in Hohenleuben: Nach der Verstaatlichung der Carl Häßner Schuhfabrik entstehen die ZEHA Turnschuhe seit 1972 im „VEB Spezialsportschuhe Hohenleuben“.
Das Besondere: Eine »Zentrale Forschungs- und Entwicklungsstelle für Sportschuhwerk« bietet zusätzlichen Raum für Innovation – der natürlich nicht ungenutzt bleibt!
So kommt im Jahr 1983 der Marathon auf den Markt und macht ZEHA als Olympiaausstatter alle Ehre. Denn sein Name hält, was er verspricht: Mit seiner leichten Sohle und dem funktionellen Design ist er perfekt für lange Strecken – ein echter Laufschuh eben!

Back to the 80s – with the ZEHA Berlin MARATHON
The eighties in Hohenleuben: after the nationalization of the Carl Häßner shoe factory, the ZEHA sneakers have been produced since 1972 in the “VEB Spezialsportschuhe Hohenleuben”.
What was special about it: a “central research and development office for sports footwear” offered additional space for innovation, which was a perfect opportunity to create something new!
The launching of the Marathon in 1983 established ZEHA as an honorable Olympic equipment manufacturer. True to its name, the Marathon was perfect for long distance running with its lightweight sole and functional design – a real running shoe indeed!
